Holistic Audiology grew out of the genuine love for helping clients on their journey of dealing with the challenges of their hearing, auditory processing and tinnitus issues; understanding the emotional and psychosocial impacts; and exploring communication solutions to best manage their daily needs. This level of ‘care’ and ‘positive regard’ for all clients is driven by the values of honesty, integrity and accountability based on strict ethical and moral standards. Holistic Audiology is the haven whereby individual clients with hearing and communication needs are cared for as a person with ears, and not treated as simply ears on a client.

Viviana (Viv) Liou
Viviana has been passionate about serving the community as an Audiologist since 1997, helping people optimise their hearing and communication ability, supporting their personal and professional relationships, and easing the burden of hearing difficulties in their daily lives.
She is grateful for the depth and breadth of experiences and insights gleaned from working in the public and private sectors. The hearing system is complex and intricate, and in her 28 years as a clinical audiologist, no two individuals that present the same on paper have ever had the exact same experience, nor benefitted from exactly the same hearing solution. Hence, the importance of individualised holistic hearing care.
Viviana has lived in three continents, and speaks English, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), and Spanish. She is proud to have multi-cultural awareness and understanding. She has a particular passion in helping people address and navigate their hearing challenges and the accompanying psychosocial impacts of hearing impairment. Viviana is a university qualified Audiologist, an APD-certified specialist, and a university qualified Counsellor.
